Hi All,
I just wanted to let you know that Acadia's Exotic Plant Management Crew
Leader position, a GS-0430-9 Botanist, will be announced as early as next
Monday on the USAJOBS website. This is a term (13 month to up to four
years), subject-to-furlough position that will probably work full time from
late winter (March) through late fall/early winter (end of
November/beginning of December). It will be open for about 3 weeks, and
available to all sources.
In addition to being physically fit, applicants must hold a valid state
driver's license, and hold (or have held) a valid state pesticide
applicator's license. Applicants will be required to obtain their Maine
commercial pesticide license and master applicator's license within 90 days
of reporting for duty. The master-level license requires passing a written
test on Maine law, and an oral examination by staff from the Maine Board of
Pesticides Control.
This is a supervisory position, and we're looking for someone with great
technical and interpersonal skills to lead this program. Park housing may
be available.
Please help us spread the word!
Many Thanks,
Judy
