[MAIPC] Queen Anne's Lace

I am confused (nothing new). I thought Queen Anne's Lace was a 
non-native invasive species but I just found a 2012 article in a MD WHS 
newsletter saying it should be planted for black swallowtails. A number 
of other sources also treat it as a wildflower to be used.

I just spent the last two days pulling it from my meadow because it was 
becoming the dominant plant.

What is the consensus about this plant?
