Equilateral triangles. Hold a stick horizontal to your arm and the length to
your eye (right arm to right eye), then stand stick up vertical. Aim bottom
of stick at your fist (where stick exits by your thumb) to approximate same
height on tree trunk level to your line of sight. Keeping your head level
look up to tree top and walk backwards or forwards until you line up top of
stick to tree top. Then measure length from you to the tree. That distance,
plus your height from feet to your eyes, is the same height as the tree.
