Attended the International Pollinator conference in Penn state, good program. While there I received word from NYBG regarding the latest in invasive plants that pose a threat to wetlands. Since, I am on the Coastal Plain, Tidewater - this is a real issue. Incised Fumewort. purple keman, Corydalis incisa ranges from NY to DC by spreading seeds which it ejects up to nine feet away. Here is a description: Plants 4 to 20 inches, tall with a water like sap inside the stems. Seeds germinate in the late summer and fall. The y grow through winter from roots. Plants then mature in spring with fibrous roots. Leavs arelaciniatum, 2-6 inches long and wide, inflorescnesces erect. Flowers are 10-16 per stalk, 1/2 to 3/4 inc, tubular, purple with dark tips. Fruit is 1/2 inch long, green. Exploding small black seeds. Flowers and fruits Apr -Jun. More info or contact for Tidewater, VA, NC, SC, WV, GA is triplam747 at aol.com. For DC and north is datha at nybg.org. Please send out these emails for collection of reports, sightings and photos.Link: http://plants.usda.gov/core/profile?symbol=COSO6
Please contact triplam747 at aol.com for sightings if further south. (757) 270-6972.

Dear All
I am about to submit our Guide for naturalized and invasive plants of
eastern Africa for printing but I am not happy with my images of Castilla
elastica, Cordia alliodora and Fraxinus pennsylvanica. If anyone has high
resolution images of the flowers, fruits, leaves, whole trees, invasions, etc.
please could you share them with me. Your contributions will obviously be
acknowledged. Please send them to me directly _a.witt at cabi.org_
(mailto:a.witt at cabi.org) and not everyone on the server. Thanking you in advance and
look forward to receiving some great images. Those that do contribute will
receive a free copy of the Guide ??..
Thanks
Arne
