Dear MAIPC members,
The District of Columbia Cooperative Weed Management Area and the National Park Service are again offering a free invasive plant management training workshop for land managers and herbicide applicators in the national capital area.
Date: June 15, 2017; 8:30-3:30
Location: Rock Creek Park Nature Center, 5200 Glover Rd NW, Washington, DC 20015

* Mistaken Identity/Worst Weeds: ID and Ecology
* Regulatory updates
* Prioritization and site selection
* NPS Exotic Plant Management Team's field methods
* Regional CWMA news and updates
* Invader Detectives, a new CISMA/PRISM pilot for the national capital region
Breakout/hands-on sessions:
* Prevention BMPs
* Advanced methods in mechanical control
* Advanced methods in chemical control
* Hands-on plant identification
* Early detection/rapid response plant ID
* Mapping
* Chemical Safety
* Personal protective equipment
CEU's will be available for MD, VA, DC, and several other states in the region.
