We recently published a summary of our Italian arum control trial - it is
attached. The basic take home message is metsulfuron methyl (the active
ingredient in Excort XP) is far more effective than glyphosate (the active
ingredient in Roundup) or triclopyr (the active ingredient in Galron 3A)
and you have to treat over multiple years. Our trial only tested very low
rates of metsulfuron methyl but I would think the maximum label rates
applied in early March for a few years would do the trick.
