February 26, 2019, 8-11:30am

Greetings,

This is a last minute reminder that the Invasive Species Advisory Committee
(ISAC) to the National Invasive Species Council (NISC) will be meeting next
week at the National Museum of the American Indian. On Tuesday, February
26th, from 8-11:30 am there will be a stakeholder forum with non-federal
partners to provide ISAC with input on a number of key questions (see
below).

*Please note: registration on invasivespecies.gov
<http://invasivespecies.gov/> prior to noon Monday, February 25th, is
necessary to get into the venue prior to its official public opening. *

If attendance is not possible, written comments to the thematic questions
below are welcome through March 15. Comments can be sent to Chuck Bargeron,
ISAC Chair (cbargero at uga.edu) and Stas Burgiel, NISC Secretariat (
stanley_burgiel at ios.doi.gov). Additional reference material is available on
the NISC website.

Questions to help ISAC provide input to NISC:

· What specific federal activities or processes for invasive species
management need attention?

· What specific emerging issues does NISC need to prepare for?

· Where should specific coordination efforts within the federal government
and with non-federal partners be focused?

· How has ISAC been effective and valuable to NISC, as well as more
broadly?

All the best,

Sarah Veatch
