Have you registered for the 2019 MAIPC Conference yet? There are some big changes, but we think you'll like them. Primarily, we've had to make a change in the keynote speaker:

We're so excited to have Professor Sarah Kuebbing from the University of Pittsburgh presenting as our Keynote Speaker. Come join us to hear what she has to say about "Integrating Invasive Plant Research and Management". Dr. Keubbing is doing some fantastic research: she studies what she calls "invasion treadmills" (reinvasion of a site by new nonnative species), is looking into the effectiveness of harvesting and eating invasive plants as a management strategy, researched the interactive, multifactor effects of major habitat disturbance and invasion in temperate deciduous forests, AND, has a program about broadening plant appreciation and awareness through promoting storytelling and sharing of "plant love stories.

We have also added:

* Kendra Cipollini, Professor, Wilmington College, Ecology of lesser Celandine (Ficaria verna) control.

* Judy Fulton, Founder, EcoPlant Consulting. Mid-Atlantic Invaders Tool: A new information portal for invasives in the mid-Atlantic states.

* Erynn Maynard-Bean, Post-doctoral Research Associate, Pennsylvania State University, Leaf long and prosper? Shedding light on invasive shrubs in eastern deciduous forests of North America.

* Richard Johnstone, President and founder of IVM Partners, Pollinator Site Value Index (PSVI) to measure the benefits of Right-of-Way habitat for pollinators.

* Marion Holmes, University of Pittsburgh, Non-native plant population and community dynamics in second-growth forests differ with land-use history.

On Tuesday we've added a field session and demonstration from Invasive Plant Control, Inc.
