[MAIPC] Hypericum. A shrub

Ruth,

There are both native and invasive Hypericum shrubs; so, the donated 
shrub would need to be identified. Does the person who asked you have 
photos? For example, there is the invasive H. perforatum 
(http://vaplantatlas.org/index.php?do=plant&plant=2371&search=Search) 
and the native H. prolificum 
(http://vaplantatlas.org/index.php?do=plant&plant=2372&search=Search), 
as Alison Pearce mentioned.
