[MAIPC] Native Garden Friend Challenge - anyone with experience growing Lycopodium?

 Does anyone know what conditions are needed and how to grow Lycopodium? We live in central Pennsylvania. Blue Mountain has large areas of two, possibly three, species of Lycopodium which I also know as ground pine. I call one the smooth species and the other one the rough species.
We live on a north slope with mesic soil in our woodlot. Our woodlot is losing trees probably due to the Emerald Ash Borer, so the canopy is opening up. Dutchman's Breeches and Bloodroot are doing well. We have few if any ferns.
The prior owners kept goats in the woodlot. Garlic Mustard, Oriental Bittersweet, various honeysuckles, Greater Celandine and Multiflora Rose now occupy the areas between the trees. (It is almost too much to fight. Once I removed most of the honeysuckles the multiflora rose started taking over.)

So now that we're well into fall, consider buying seeds online and preparing for next spring.  Packets can have a couple hundred seeds and cost a couple dollars, so it's not difficult to get started with a wide variety.  Just make sure that the native seeds you purchase are native to your region, some local regions can be very specific.
