Hello,
I recently heard back from someone who works for my county's government.? She is showing initial interest in locating and controlling Ailanthus?altissima trees within our county in an effort to limit the future presence of Spotted Lanternfly, oh and to kill an invasive plant as well!??
My current question is, does anyone know of a good resource that highlights the "how to" create a new invasive species task force?? Instead of reinventing the wheel from square one I prefer to reference one or more publications that will help serve as a guideline with respect to efforts including planning, outreach, creating partnerships, etc.??
>From a long-term?perspective, if the outcome of the county-level Spotted Lanternfly Task Force proves successful, then hopefully the county would be receptive to formally adopt an Invasive Species Task Force within the government agency, therefore there are multiple incentives to ensure this specific effort proves successful.
Thanks,?Carla Porter
