Japanese stiltgrass and deer

 A decade  <https://www.bing.com/search?q=or+so+ago+we+heard+that+a+research+team+was+surveying+for+deer+that+eat+a+significant+amount+of+deer.&FORM=AWRE> or so ago we heard that a research team was surveying for deer that eat a significant amount of Japanese Stiltgrass .  The hope was that they could then shoot the other deer and develop a deer GMO to control Japanese Stiltgrass. Any news about how this research is going?
