[MAIPC] invasive vines and tree growth

Interesting question Heidi.  If someone is currently doing
research hopefully they'll respond to the list.  I did a quick search on
Google Scholar for tree growth and vine removal, but you may need to search
for specific vines and trees.

One study that looked at oriental bittersweet and tulip trees that found no
effect on growth (

Dennis Whigham did a series of studies measuring sweet gum growth following
above vs. below ground control (root competition) of Japanese honeysuckle
and Virginia creeper early in his career that found that below ground
competition was more important than above ground,
