MAIPC members in the DC area (and beyond),
Please keep your eyes and ears out for Cuban tree frogs. We have gotten reports that individuals of this species are being inadvertently imported into the National Capital Region through various outlets that sell plants from Florida. The frogs are toxic to people, pets and ecosystems. Please share the Invader Detectives Alert (linked below) with your networks. Houseplants and cut flowers seem to be the main vectors, so our target audience is broad.

The National Capital Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (NatCap PRISM) is releasing the document as a link to emphasize its constantly changing nature. The document is not intended to be complete or perfect, but to provide the best available information during the early phases of an unfolding situation.
Thanks,
