> Greetings!
>
> The Pennsylvania iMapInvasives Program will again be hosting its "Invasive Species Scavenger Hunt" this year and you're invited to participate!
>
> During the month of August, challenge yourself to learn how to identify, search for, and report your findings of 15 invasive species (plants, animals, and insects) as part of a special scavenger hunt event. Two webinar trainings are being offered at the end of July which will highlight the specific checklist of invasive species that participants will be asked to search for. All species on the checklist are considered to be invasive in Pennsylvania and/or surrounding states. Also, as part of the webinar, participants will learn how to document presence and absence findings in iMapInvasives.
>
> Resources will be provided to participants after the webinar training(s) on plant, animal, and insect identification tips as well as habitats where each of the 15 species can generally be found in.
>
> Participants will be given the entire month of August to search their local natural areas and document their findings, both presence and absence, in the iMapInvasives database. All participants who complete their checklist (i.e., report presence/absence data in iMapInvasives for each of the 15 species) will be entered into a drawing to win a prize package of outdoor-related gear, and five lucky people will be chosen as prize winners!
>
> If you're interested in participating in this event, please register to attend either the July 28th or July 29th webinar session (see registration links below).Note: You only need to attend one of the webinar trainings to participate in the 2021 Scavenger Hunt.
