[MAIPC] Bad plant has bugs

Mock Strawberry, Duchesnia indica,  is a perennial invasive plant . At Ruth
B. Swann Park in Charles County I notice that about ½ pass on after flower
and before seed by late July. Does this also kill the roots? Or will the
plant survive to emerge next year? Today I found about half the plants in a
large patch already had holes in their leaves.
