[MAIPC] Upcoming invasive plant policy webinar

February’s installment of the Framing the Future webinar series hosted by the Maryland Forestry Foundation focuses on the regulation of non-native invasive plants in Maryland. We’ll be joined by Eric Luedtke, the Majority Leader of the Maryland House of Delegates, to discuss proposed legislation to expand the regulation of non-native invasive plants in the state, and prohibiting the use of state funds for planting invasive plants in outdoor projects. The scope of this bill will include all species listed within Plant Invaders of Mid-Atlantic Natural Areas; Jil Swearingen, lead author of the Plant Invaders book and Invasive Species Specialist with In the Weeds Consulting, will be on hand to discuss the development of the book and selection of the species included.
