[MAIPC] wineberry

If you see something, say something.

When the leaves of wineberry emerge this spring, be on the look out for
damage to wineberry that is not happening to local native blackberries or
raspberries.

Have we found a pathogen that has a major impact on wineberry but not on our
native blackberries or raspberries? Marc

Symptoms

- Very common and widespread. Fuzzy or slimy grey mould may appear on young
leaves. Buds, flowers and flower stalks may rot.

May 31?

Hi Jil,

Since it would be in the evening, I will need to check my wife's work
schedule (difficult that far in advance), but I should be able to give a
virtual presentation on May 31st. How long of a talk? Hope all is well!

best,

Matt

Hello Matt!

I hope you're doing great. It's been a long time!

Marc emailed me about the need to help support USDA's biological control
program for invasive plants.

If you're interested, we don't have a speaker for our evening monthly
program on May 31 Tuesday 7-9pm. You can present remotely or come and give
your talk in person to a small audience at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel in
Greenbelt. Your choice. The programs are offered by Zoom meeting and have
been extremely popular and well attended. They are recorded and posted to
our website. I realize you may have to abide by some restrictions, being a
government employee. I hope you are allowed to give presentations that are
recorded.

Let me know. If you'd like to discuss this further, we can schedule some
time later this week. I'm fully booked-up through Thursday.

Thanks very much,

Jil
