I have a "trial " plot here in Montgomery County, MD. With the aid of volunteers, we removed all plants before they went to seed last spring. The area is approximately 100' x 100'. Last year the area was heavily covered. This year, only a few have appeared. This plant is an annual/biannual. I believe removal before seed release is critical

Hi, We are seeing Corydalis incisa popping up in more places and in larger patches here in northern Virginia. There are many posts on iNaturalist. I was wondering what you are seeing in your areas and if and how you managing the populations? Last year, I reached out to people in New York to find out a little more about how they are managing their populations. Those who kindly got back to me were working with volunteers to dig up the plants. It sounds like the tap root must be completely removed. As far as I know, the National Park Service and contractors have worked out or are working out appropriate herbicides and percentages. The plant will be flowering in the next week or so in our area. Any other tips or suggestions, issues or studies would be greatly appreciated. Our National Capital PRISM is working to gather a little more information on its management here in the D.C. area. Thank you,
Patricia Pearl Greenberg

Hi Jil,
Since it would be in the evening, I will need to check my wife's work schedule (difficult that far in advance), but I should be able to give a virtual presentation on May 31st. How long of a talk? Hope all is well!
best,
Matt

Hello Matt!
I hope you're doing great. It's been a long time!
Marc emailed me about the need to help support USDA's biological control program for invasive plants.
If you're interested, we don't have a speaker for our evening monthly program on May 31 Tuesday 7-9pm. You can present remotely or come and give your talk in person to a small audience at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Greenbelt. Your choice. The programs are offered by Zoom meeting and have been extremely popular and well attended. They are recorded and posted to our website. I realize you may have to abide by some restrictions, being a government employee. I hope you are allowed to give presentations that are recorded.
Let me know. If you'd like to discuss this further, we can schedule some time later this week. I'm fully booked-up through Thursday.
Thanks very much,
Jil
