Hi,
Thanks for the details of what you are doing out there.
Once we learn more -especially about herbicide use -I'll share what we learn.
Thanks again and thank you for all you are doing out there,

I am not aware of this in WV but am copying DNR botanists to check.
WVU has herbarium material from Japan only; thanks for giving alert!

I've been working on a patch near Locust Grove Nature Center. Last year we removed all we could find over March and April and this year the population is reduced somewhat. As mentioned below it is mostly a biennial so I am hoping that a thorough hand pulling this year will mean a big reduction next year. The area is right next to the creek so there may be an upstream source. It is a little easier to pull when flowering as the roots are largely exhausted. I started last weekend though so I would be done before garlic mustard season.

I have a "trial " plot here in Montgomery County, MD. With the aid of volunteers, we removed all plants before they went to seed last spring. The area is approximately 100' x 100'. Last year the area was heavily covered. This year, only a few have appeared. This plant is an annual/biannual. I believe removal before seed release is critical

Hi,
We are seeing Corydalis incisa popping up in more places and in larger patches here in northern Virginia. There are many posts on iNaturalist. I was wondering what you are seeing in your areas and if and how you managing the populations?
[flower(s) and foliage]
Last year, I reached out to people in New York to find out a little more about how they are managing their populations. Those who kindly got back to me were working with volunteers to dig up the plants. It sounds like the tap root must be completely removed. As far as I know, the National Park Service and contractors have worked out or are working out appropriate herbicides and percentages. The plant will be flowering in the next week or so in our area. Any other tips or suggestions, issues or studies would be greatly appreciated. Our National Capital PRISM is working to gather a little more information on its management here in the D.C. area.
Thank you,
