At a conference over a decade ago a researcher discussed how they were surveying all the native species in a park to find individuals more resistant to the invasive species in that park. Then they would propagate them for reintroduction where the invasives were worse. The plan was to find reintroduced individuals over time that were even more resistant. Does anyone know how this approach has worked? There was also discussion about doing this in field laboratories. One opposing position was that over time the native species was different than the original native species. Marc Imlay
