[MAIPC] Native Shrubs for Parking Lot Island

Good morning,

I have a large dirt island in a parking lot being expanded.  There is an
existing tree.  I am looking at lining it with shrubs and putting flowers
behind them.  I'm good on flowers, but I need ideas on native shrubs that
are very drought and heat tolerant as I don't imagine I will water them
much, if ever.
