Dr. Sarah Reichard, the Director of the University of Washington Botanic<br>
Gardens, died of an aneurysm while leading a Botanic Gardens tour in South<br>
Africa. She was a leading researcher on invasive plants, and was known for<br>
her work engaging the green industry in issues of prevention of plant<br>
invasions. As many of you recall, she was the keynote speaker at this past<br>
February's Ohio Invasive Plant Research Conference. Dr. Reichard was the<br>
author of the Conscientious Gardener, as well as numerous academic<br>
publications.<br>
