I guess I need to clarify. I am not interested in specific plants.
I am interested in reports of recreational. educational, religious
sites where non native species have been introduced to make it seem
"more like home" and that caused ecological damage.<br>

Think embassies. But they are not my specific concern. They are
more likely to understand the issues involved.<br>
<br>
More to the point are privately organized ethnic organizations (and
yes this is the correct way to phrase the issue) that buy a tract of
land as a retreat or whatever and then without thinking they
introduce plants and animals that make the tract more like the home
country. Then those species cause damage to the surrounding
ecological system.<br>
<br>
Any reports on this? I did find something in NYC about non native
turtles that were released as part of a cultural ceremony.<br>
