Water Chestnut is coming soon. Purple Loosestrife and Mile-a -minute continue to be controlled by the bio-controls. The problem of bio-controls harming non-target organisms is only about 3% as frequent as before the new rules of proving host specificity went into effect about 20 years ago. Native and indigenous bio-controls are also searched for in the range of the non-native invasive species in America. With adequate research we can find bio-controls for about 30 percent of our non-native invasive plant species. And we can reduce our work for traditional cut, pull and spray by an estimated 30 percent. We also help native ecosystems in natural areas where there is no management of invasive species.

From: MAIPC <maipc-bounces@lists.maipc.org> On Behalf Of Ossi, Damien (DOEE)
Sent: Wednesday, July 03, 2019 12:26 PM
To: MAIPC Listserve (maipc@lists.maipc.org) <maipc@lists.maipc.org>
Subject: Re: [MAIPC] Conference information and registration

We have also extended the deadline for the Call for Abstracts.
