I just came from a work project sponsored by my organization, Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, together with my MD District 42B Delegate Michele Guyton where we discussed need for stronger invasive species legislation, among other things related to conservation and outdoor recreation. She is very interested in learning about Delaware's recent legislation as well as what our neighboring states of Virginia and Pennsylvania are doing so that a proposal can be made for the next legislative session.

I'm a member of the Maryland Invasive Species Council (MISC) and have asked that a representative from Delaware speak at one of our next meetings about their process and how they were able to get the legislation done. I am relatively new to MISC and don't know the history of how Maryland enacted the legislation that is currently on the books, but I am interested in learning how to strengthen MISC's advisory role to put more teeth into MD regs. Perhaps we could follow a path like Delaware has done. https://delawareinvasives.net/?page_id=68
Would you be up for a conference call to strategize the best way to work on this in Maryland?
