*Registration is Open! "Turning a New Leaf" Sustainable Landscaping
Conference *

The Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council (CCLC) is bringing its
fifth "Turning a New Leaf" Conference to the National Conference Training
Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, West Virginia on Saturday, November 16th.
The conference provides professionals with the latest information on
sustainable landscaping and development best practices.

Douglas W. Tallamy, PhD, keynote speaker and author of the prize-winning
book *Bringing Nature Home*, sets the tone for the conference with his talk
on "Your role in building biological corridors: networks for life."  There
will be four conference tracks on
*Innovations in Urban Restoration;* *Flora and Fauna: Applying Ecology to
Design;* *Marketing Nature: How to Sell Conservation Landscaping;* and *Soil
Science Simplified*. C. Coleston Burrell will wrap up the conference as
plenary speaker on "Native Plants in Your Garden: Lessons from Nature and
Culture."

The conference also hosts an Eco-Marketplace featuring a variety of local
organizations and green businesses. An Anniversary Dinner to celebrate
CCLC's 10th year will be held the evening before the conference from 5-8 at
the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown.

Registration is $105 through October 20, $125 thereafter. Additional
