[MAIPC] APHIS EIS on ALB eradication program - final available

Dear forest pest mavens,
 
APHIS will publish in the Federal Register tomorrow, 11 September, an  
announcement that it has completed its programmatic EIS on the ALB  program.  I 
also attach the FEIS for those of you who can receive  attachments via this 
email.
 
The Programmatic FEIS will guide the program if/when ALB is detected at a  
new location.  Since models indicate that ALB could establish anywhere  
suitable hosts grow ... and since ALB has been found in wood packaging entering  
the country in recent years ... such a detection seems likely.
 
Unfortunately, only 14 letters commented on this important analysis.
