Additional details about the conference:

1. Registration includes continental breakfast and lunch on Aug 1 & 2, coffee at break times, and appetizers during the poster session.

2. We are working on securing credits from ASLA, and ISA, and have applied for pesticide licensing CEUs from all states in the mid-Atlantic.

3. The two TED-style sessions are now posted with title and speakers here<http://www.maipc.org/conferences-workshops/2017-conference/> under Conference Agenda.

4. For the afternoon field session on Day 2, Invasive Plant Control Inc. will lead a demonstration of tools, equipment and treatment methods for common invasive plants, and participants may also tour a riparian restoration site with the local watershed conservation district manager. The site includes invasive plant management in a wetland area, restoration with native plants, and significant tree canopy loss due to the emerald ash borer.

Thank you,

Subject: 2017 MAIPC/SERMA conference registration

Dear MAIPC members,

Registration is now open for the 2017 joint MAIPC/SER-MA conference, Invasion Biology: Paths to Conservation and Restoration Success.
http://www.maipc.org/conferences-workshops/2017-conference/
You can find the full agenda at that link as well.

We have held the price to the same as in 2015, at $210 for the full conference ($100 for students with ID).
Lodging is available for $40 per night in the Juniata College dormitory.

A limited number of scholarships are available for students to offset the cost of the conference (but not travel and lodging). Students can apply for scholarships by filling out this form<https://docs.google.com/a/maipc.org/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeYrBlWlzzEk-SGa4s7agfxD5yvMESGsUte6YA774_rXTQ-tw/viewform?usp=sf_link>. Scholarships are sponsored by Invasive Plant Control Inc., and Pepco. Other sponsorships and vendor opportunities are still available, see attached letter.

Thank you,
Damien Ossi
