Subject: Corydalis incisa: help requested

Greetings. I have been keeping an eye on a small patch of this relatively
new invasive in the flood plain of a small creek about ¼ mile from my home
in Charlottesville, VA. I’ve hand pulled it in the past, apparently before
it released its seeds (though I can’t guarantee it). But, this year I’ve
just visited the area and it has definitely spread. It is not in bloom here
now but the leaves have emerged. I’ve seen it in bloom here near the end of
April, but have heard others say they have seen it in bloom in March
elsewhere. I have a picture of the leaves taken 2-15-18. If you want to see
it, email me. I can’t send another picture with this email because the
message is too big if I do.

It seems to be time for an herbicide, and I’m seeking information from those
of you who have been treating it: what to use, and how and when to use it.
The plants are probably 25-30’ from the creek, in its floodplain.

I’m attaching 1image of it that I’ve taken, where you can see both flowers
and seed pods.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Ruth Douglas
