[MAIPC] Native grass for horse grazing?

Is this prairie land in Iowa? If so native grasses would include Indian grass, switch grass, Joe Pye weed and Little bluestem. Marc

Someone asked me about getting a pasture started for a horse he is going to buy.  It is something I hadn't really thought of and certainly wouldn't want to recommend any native grasses without knowing for sure they are good for horses, but I thought maybe some people here have recommendations.  The guy lives in Iowa, but I can always search the distribution of any recommendations given.
