Subject: Faith's blog - APHIS proposes "NAPPRA" listing of plants as
invasive & as hosts of pests
To: <NECIS at lists.nationalwildlife.org>

Hi, forest pest mavens!

For the 3rd time since 2011, APHIS has proposed a list of plant taxa to be
subjected to restrictions on imports in order to prevent introduction of
either invasive plants or pathogens or other pests. I describe the proposal
and provide links in my blog at www.cisp.us or www.nivemnic.us

Hawaii, Florida, and other tropical areas are the principal beneficiaries
of these proposed restrictions - but not the only ones.

Comment deadline is 24 January.

Please review & comment.

Faith
