I have had success outcompeting stilt grass in a stream valley habitat with
a combo of bottlebrush grass, chasmanthium, boehmeria (sp), packera, the
more assertive native ferns and lizards tail in moister areas. Perhaps it
is the shade. The densest stands seem to be in meadows in full sun.
