Anyone good at economic modelling? Can the cost to treat the offspring of the remaining stock of barberry be estimated? It might be cheaper to purchase the remaining stock and destroy it...

JP Barberry was added as a Class B noxious weed, but won’t be enforced for two years allowing the industry to liquidate existing stocks. Callery pear was tabled until more info could be obtained regarding implications for fruit growers who use callery pear root stock for grafting purposes. JP stiltgrass and garlic mustard were both added as Class B noxious weeds.

Hi All,
Can anyone share the outcomes of the Committee meeting last week? Were any decisions made about whether to add Japanese barberry or Callery pear as noxious weeds?
Thanks,
Clair
