Blue Ridge PRISM has gotten a fair number of requests for controlling
Houttuynia cordata or chameleon plant.

Researching online resources yields limited results. It seems the best
strategy is to manually remove the rhizomes. Many commenters in a variety
of gardening type websites and forums indicate that glyphosate is
ineffective.
Does anyone know of a good resource for control guidelines for this plant?
Any/recommendations/experience controlling this plant with herbicides?
Thank you,
Beth Mizell
