[MAIPC] control strategies for Houttuynia cordata

If herbicide is not possible, have had personal success cutting it without
pulling. You do need to repeat the process multiple times and keep an eye
out for it for a few years. But being careful not to pull, but to just cut
it does not seem to spread. Interestingly it would come up in the spring
and fall only. Once the summer heat started I would not see any growth.

Another case we are currently working on was dug up last fall. We have not
seen any spread, but it is popping up similar to when I cut it but in
smaller amounts. Given Marc’s a statement I will make sure they keep an eye
out for growth for a little more then 10’ away.

Thanks
