We should be removing vinca from gardens anyway, but now that we knowVinca minor is a host for Phytophthora ramorum, which causes sudden oak death, it is ever more urgent. In areas along the Potomac Gorge vinca has completely obliterated native plants in large areas. Many of these areas used to be homesteads before it became a National Park. And they planted vinca…
