[MAIPC] [armn] Spotted lantern fly in our house! In Arlington

Hi Connie,

Arlington's nature centers are spreading the word through our Facebook pages and we will also have some information up on the digital displays at the centers.

If anyone has a specimen, we can certainly display it at the centers with some informational signage.  Thanks,

Just a thought!!!!!! What if one is pinned to a display board or in a jar (dead of course) and displayed at one of the nature centers for others to see and be on the lookout.   Etc.  I think you get what I'm trying to suggest.

They're here. We all need to be on the lookout for them and their egg masses, especially on Ailanthus trees and fruit trees.

I was just cleaning up from dinner and could not have been more surprised to find a dead spotted lantern fly in our sink.  The only thing I can imagine is that it came out of a head of leaf lettuce we washed tonight, which came from Lancaster, PA.  We bought the lettuce at Mom's market 2 days ago.  Photo attached.

Has anyone else had this happen?  Any idea what we should do next??
