Hi all,
I am in the woods and my meadow all the time. To keep ticks off from the
waist down, I always wear full length leggings with socks or tights, alone
or under long pants. For my tops I wear commercially available permethrin
infused shirts, tucked into the leggings. All bare skin is sprayed with a
lemon eucalyptus spray. I especially spray behind my ears and back
hairline.

This strategy works extremely well for me.

(Mosquitos and deer flies will bite through leggings so I spray them, or
wear long pants over them.)

Deer flies? Place a Western sky blue strip of duct tape on the *back top*
of an old hat. Paint this with sticky insect trap glue. I've been amazed at
how many flies are trapped there!
