[MAIPC] [EXTERNAL] Spotted lantern fly in our house! In Arlington

This is a good opportunity to prevent an outbreak.  I would contact Va Dept of Forestry so they can work on the case with MOMS to determine where lettuce shipped from last.  Probably a distribution center in PA.  Or you could notify MOMS yourself but contact needs to be made with upper management.    In case it wasn’t the lettuce , do you have tree of heaven in your yard or neighbors or any woodpiles.  Check those for more.

I was just cleaning up from dinner and could not have been more surprised to find a dead spotted lantern fly in our sink.  The only thing I can imagine is that it came out of a head of leaf lettuce we washed tonight, which came from Lancaster, PA.  We bought the lettuce at Mom’s market 2 days ago.  Photo attached.

Has anyone else had this happen?  Any idea what we should do next??
